Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is the Government of India's health assurance scheme, giving eligible families cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation. In Gujarat it is implemented together with the state's MA Amrutam scheme.
Atlas Trauma Center & Superspeciality Hospital is an empanelled provider, so eligible patients from Gandhidham, Kutch and across India can receive treatment here cashless — using the same 60+ bed facility, modular operation theatres, ICU and 24/7 emergency care as every other patient.
PM-JAY is designed to cover the full episode of care — not just the days you spend in a hospital bed.
Bed charges, nursing care, consultant fees, operation theatre charges and intensive care during your admission.
Drugs, surgical consumables and implants that form part of the approved treatment package.
Laboratory investigations and imaging such as X-ray and our in-house CT scan, where clinically required.
Expenses up to 3 days before admission and up to 15 days after discharge, including follow-up medicines and tests.
Emergency admissions through our 24/7 Trauma Center, with scheme approval processed alongside your treatment.
Meals for the admitted patient are included in the package for the duration of the hospital stay.
For treatment approved under the scheme, the covered package is settled directly between the hospital and the scheme authority, so there is nothing to pay at discharge. If you choose services outside the approved package — for example an upgraded room category or a treatment not on the package list — those are explained to you in writing beforehand.
Eligibility is determined by the Government based on SECC data and state schemes, not by the hospital. You can check on the official portal pmjay.gov.in, call the helpline 14555, or bring your card to our help desk and we will verify it on the portal for you free of charge.
A valid card is required to claim the benefit. If your family appears in the eligible list but the card has not been generated, our help desk can guide you on getting it issued. In a medical emergency, treatment is never delayed for paperwork — we stabilise the patient first and sort out the documentation alongside.
Yes. PM-JAY is portable across India, so a card issued in any state can be used at an empanelled hospital in Gujarat, subject to the usual verification on the portal.
The scheme pays for procedures on the approved package list, at defined package rates, and the cover of Rs 5 lakh applies to the family for the year. Out-patient consultations and treatments outside the package list are not covered. Our help desk will tell you which package applies to your case before treatment begins.
Yes. Ayushman beneficiaries are treated by the same consultants, in the same modular operation theatres and ICU, with the same nursing and diagnostic support as every other patient at Atlas Hospital.
